Team & Champion Lady Competition Update

Congratulations to both Ladies (50 & over Team) and Ladies (40 & over Team) who achieved a Second and Fifth Place respectively at Sundays competition. Also Well Done to our Second Year Senior Team who brought home a Second Place on Monday.

In the Champion Lady Event held Sunday, Congratulations to Jo on placing Third. Also Congratulations to Diane who was a National Finalist and Patsy as a National Semi-Finalist. Well Done Everyone.



Liverpool Junior Zone Competition Update II

The second day of Competition in the Liverpool Junior Zone Competition yielded some fantastic results for our members. Hosted at the Glenquarie Community Centre, Liverpool Physical Culture Club gained 14 Places and 8 Finalists. Congratulations to all competitors.

In the 5yrs Bree C, Renee P, Paige S were all Finalists and Catherine P earned a fith place. Paris S gained a second place in the 8yrs section. In the 9yrs Mia C and Skye V earned a fifth and fourth place respectively. We earned some amazing results in the 13/14yrs section with all six competitors earning places. Erin S (2nd), Gemma P (3rd), Holly W (4th), Ivanna J (1st), Kaylah P (4th) and Rosalie I (5th).



Liverpool Junior Zone Competition Update

Congratulations to our competitors at the recent Liverpool Junior Zone Competition. All members performed to an exceptional standard and the club achieved some outstanding results. All competitors were delighted to receive the new BjP Performance Medal. Good luck to Juniors competitng next weekend, we look forward to further exciting results. Photos soon.

First place-getters were Elyse R (10yrs) and Nicole D (12yrs). Second and Fourth Place respectively went to Claudia T (7yrs) and Aimee B (10yrs). These girls will be going on to challenge at the Junior National Finals at the State Sports Centre. And with the chance to challenge at the National Repechage will be Elena (6yrs), Nikola T, Stacey C, Bonnie J (10yrs) and Waveney L in the 11 years.



NRL Tigers V. Roosters Half Time Show

On August 10, a group of members from our club along with girls from other clubs and organisations throughout Sydney took part in the NRL Tigers V. Roosters Half-Time Show at Telstra Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park. I would just like to publicly acknowledge these girls for their outstanding performance on and off the field. The evening went off without a hitch and your incredible performance was appreciated by myself and your massive audience alike.



New BjP 5-14 yrs Competition Rules

  1. Hair: They must have their hair done in SIMPLE STYLES ONLY. Long hair must be in a pony tail - plaits - bunches - half up, half down - with no height (ie. no 'boofs' in the front) - no pinned in elaborate curls or teasing. Similarly, short hair must not be teased for height or width. Hair must NOT be frizzled in high WIDE styles. False hair pieces are NOT ALLOWED.
  2. Tan: They MAY NOT wear leg, face or body tan in any circumstances with the exception of Junior girls being taken up to a Senior Team.
  3. Eye Make-up:
    5-12 yrs may not wear any makeup (this includes eye-liner, mascara, false eye lashes or face and body glitter).
    13-14 yrs may wear minimal eye makeup (ie. mascara OR eye liner). They MAY NOT wear false eye lashes or eye shadow, face or body glitter.
  4. Face Makeup: Only a minimal amount of lipstick, blush and foundation may be worn. No face glitter or body tan to be worn on the face.
  5. Jewellery: They MAY NOT wear jewellery of any description (however, the smallest size plain ear studs are allowable only if they cannot be removed).
  6. Tights and Stockings:
    5-10 yrs MAY NOT wear stirrups, tights or stockings of any description in Teams or Champion Girl. However they may do so if they are being used as an exception in an 11-12 Team or above.
    11-14 yrs may wear stirrups, mesh or plain tights or stockings
  7. Hair Accessories: Junior girls from 6-14 yrs MAY NOT wear anything at all in their hair at the National Finals. Hair tinting and colouring to match leotard colour is NOT permitted. A minimal amount of colour may be worn in the hair at Interclub, Zone and Repechage level.
  8. Nails: Junior girls from 5-14 yrs MAY NOT wear false nails or nail polish.

A very warm welcome to our brand new website. It's taken years of contemplation and procrastination but Liverpool Physical Culture Club finally has an online locality. We are planning on rolling out many new features on the site over the coming weeks so stay tuned. Finding out class times and dates as well as competition locations and procedures should no longer be a hassle as we will be posting all the information you will ever need right here at www.liverpoolphysicalculture.com.
