Welcome to Liverpool Physie's brand new website. We've completely overhauled the site to make it easier to find the information you need. Please take the time to subscribe to the Phyz Biz newsletter so you're guaranteed to always receive the latest news and updates. And of course, as always, if you have any questions or comments please get in touch with us on the contact page.

Wests Tigers Dance Spectacular

Congratulations on a successful performance, everyone had a lot of fun last Sunday 16th May at the Wests Tigers Dance Spectacular; where we were part of 1000 performers at the Sydney Cricket Ground for the Heritage Game between South Sydney and Wests Tigers. Our wonderful performers on the day were: Alana, Carol, Celine, Elena, Hannah, Isabelle, Laura, Skye, Tiana.

A New Physie Year!

A very Happy New Year from all of us at Liverpool Physie!
We hope everyone has had a relaxing and rejuvenating break after the exhausting year that was 2008. Liverpool Physical Culture Club members experienced some fantastic successes in 2008, and with everyone's continued commitment and dedication to learning routines – and most importantly – smiling and having fun, we are certain that 2009 will bring us many more occasions for celebration. Be it at practice of a weeknight, or at the highest level of competition.
The 2009 Class Schedule has now been posted, and it is worth viewing for new and returning members as there have been some minor adjustments to class times.
Saturday classes will resume on 7 Feb;
Monday classes on 9 Feb;
Wednesday classes on 11 Feb;
and Thursday classes will resume on 12 Feb, 2009.
You may have also noticed the new link to our Photo Gallery in the menu bar. Here you will be able to find archived photos from yesteryear, as well as photos and short clips from the most recent classes and competitions. We hope to make this new feature of the website Live in early 2009.

Comps This Week

We hope everyone is looking forward to the upcoming Liverpool Zone Junior Heats to be held at Glenquarrie Community Centre (Harold St, Macquarie Fields). The following ages will be competing on Sunday, 7 September.
6, 7, 10, 11, 12 year Champion Girl Heats will be taking place on the day. Times for these events and all other 2008 comps can be found here.

Designs and colours for 2008 competition leotards are now available and may be viewed on the DANZ DESIGN website, or see Mrs Phillemore for further information.
Leotards may only be purchased from Danz Design at Unit 1, 159 Penshurst Street, Beverly Hills. Here is a Google Map of its location.

Senior Leotards (13yrs+) $54 plain; $58 with hologram contrast or buckle

All leotards must be paid for on the day of purchase/order. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, eftpos, mastercard or visa. The last day to order is Saturday, May 3. There will be no more re-ordering this year.

Please inform Robyn if you will be coming on this night.

All new members are very welcome, just come along on the day. Classes are set to resume:

2007 was a very successful year, 10 out of our 13 teams placed in their age sections including a First place to the 11-12 year team, with 4 teams placing 2nd.
Individual successes at the Senior National Individual Competitions held at the Sydney Opera House were achieved by our 4 National Finalists: Kristen (Second Year Senior), Alicia (First Year Senior), Kristy (Open Senior 21-22 years) and Lyndal (Open Senior 19-20 years); and place getters: Bryanan - 3rd place in the Second Year Senior section; Robyn - 3rd place in the Open Senior 23-24 years and a competitor in the National Grand Champion Competition.
At the Junior National Events held at the State Sports Centre at Homebush, we were represented by Claudia (7 years) - National Finalist; Paris (8 years) - National Finalist; Mia and Skye (9 years); Elyse (10 years) and Aimee (10 years) - National Finalist; Nicole (12 years); Holly, Gemma (13 years) and Erin (13 years) - 4th place; Kaylah, Rosalie and Ivanna (14 years) - National Semi-Finalists. Congratulations and well done to everyone.

Team & Champion Lady Competition Update

Congratulations to both Ladies (50 & over Team) and Ladies (40 & over Team) who achieved a Second and Fifth Place respectively at Sundays competition. Also Well Done to our Second Year Senior Team who brought home a Second Place on Monday.
In the Champion Lady Event held Sunday, Congratulations to Jo on placing Third. Also Congratulations to Diane who was a National Finalist and Patsy as a National Semi-Finalist. Well Done Everyone.

Liverpool Junior Zone Competition Update II

The second day of Competition in the Liverpool Junior Zone Competition yielded some fantastic results for our members. Hosted at the Glenquarie Community Centre, Liverpool Physical Culture Club gained 14 Places and 8 Finalists. Congratulations to all competitors.
In the 5yrs Bree C, Renee P, Paige S were all Finalists and Catherine P earned a fith place. Paris S gained a second place in the 8yrs section. In the 9yrs Mia C and Skye V earned a fifth and fourth place respectively. We earned some amazing results in the 13/14yrs section with all six competitors earning places. Erin S (2nd), Gemma P (3rd), Holly W (4th), Ivanna J (1st), Kaylah P (4th) and Rosalie I (5th).

Liverpool Junior Zone Competition Update

Congratulations to our competitors at the recent Liverpool Junior Zone Competition. All members performed to an exceptional standard and the club achieved some outstanding results. All competitors were delighted to receive the new BjP Performance Medal. Good luck to Juniors competitng next weekend, we look forward to further exciting results. Photos soon.
First place-getters were Elyse R (10yrs) and Nicole D (12yrs). Second and Fourth Place respectively went to Claudia T (7yrs) and Aimee B (10yrs). These girls will be going on to challenge at the Junior National Finals at the State Sports Centre. And with the chance to challenge at the National Repechage will be Elena (6yrs), Nikola T, Stacey C, Bonnie J (10yrs) and Waveney L in the 11 years.

NRL Tigers V. Roosters Half Time Show

On August 10, a group of members from our club along with girls from other clubs and organisations throughout Sydney took part in the NRL Tigers V. Roosters Half-Time Show at Telstra Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park. I would just like to publicly acknowledge these girls for their outstanding performance on and off the field. The evening went off without a hitch and your incredible performance was appreciated by myself and your massive audience alike.

New BjP 5-14 yrs Competition Rules

Hair: They must have their hair done in SIMPLE STYLES ONLY. Long hair must be in a pony tail - plaits - bunches - half up, half down - with no height (ie. no 'boofs' in the front) - no pinned in elaborate curls or teasing. Similarly, short hair must not be teased for height or width. Hair must NOT be frizzled in high WIDE styles. False hair pieces are NOT ALLOWED.

Tan: They MAY NOT wear leg, face or body tan in any circumstances with the exception of Junior girls being taken up to a Senior Team.

Eye Make-up:
5-12 yrs may not wear any makeup (this includes eye-liner, mascara, false eye lashes or face and body glitter).
13-14 yrs may wear minimal eye makeup (ie. mascara OR eye liner). They MAY NOT wear false eye lashes or eye shadow, face or body glitter. -
Face Makeup: Only a minimal amount of lipstick, blush and foundation may be worn. No face glitter or body tan to be worn on the face.

Jewellery: They MAY NOT wear jewellery of any description (however, the smallest size plain ear studs are allowable only if they cannot be removed).

Tights and Stockings:
5-10 yrs MAY NOT wear stirrups, tights or stockings of any description in Teams or Champion Girl. However they may do so if they are being used as an exception in an 11-12 Team or above.
11-14 yrs may wear stirrups, mesh or plain tights or stockings -
Hair Accessories: Junior girls from 6-14 yrs MAY NOT wear anything at all in their hair at the National Finals. Hair tinting and colouring to match leotard colour is NOT permitted. A minimal amount of colour may be worn in the hair at Interclub, Zone and Repechage level.

Nails: Junior girls from 5-14 yrs MAY NOT wear false nails or nail polish.

A very warm welcome to our brand new website. It's taken years of contemplation and procrastination but Liverpool Physical Culture Club finally has an online locality. We are planning on rolling out many new features on the site over the coming weeks so stay tuned.
